“Am I locked into a contract?”

Nope. All of our memberships can be paid for monthly or annually. You are not obliged to stay any longer than what you have paid for and you can cancel your monthly membership anytime.

“Can I get a refund?”

Legally (see, Ian - I’m being official), every new membership has a 14 day cooling off period (you get this with your free trial). You won’t be charged until your trial is over.

Refunds after the free trial period are subject to your subscription type and the Studio Crew’s discretion. Please see our full Terms of Service linked in our footer below.

Why? Because we jam-pack our community with all the creative goodness we can. It wouldn’t be fair to refund members who take what they need and skip off into the sunset like the Hamburglar with their dollar back.

All is fair in love and poetry, though, so we do try to honour most refunds if requested, as we know our members generally don’t fit the Hamburglar mindset.

“I want to join but I can’t afford it right now”

Listen, when we say we hate gatekeeping, we mean it. While Studio Sonder does need to make money (we’re a business run by creatives who sadly also need to pay bills and eat) and we want to ensure we’re fair to all paying members, we know that the economy is a sh*tshow and we don’t all possess the same financial resources. We vehemently do not believe this should mean some creatives cannot access the resources they need.

We want to help as many creatives as humanly possible, so if you do need help in this department, drop Demi an email demi@studiosondercreative.com. Again, no judgement - we’re only bothered about helping as many creatives as we can.

We are also committed to reinvesting as much as we can back into our community to provide all the wonderful things on offer to our Rebels. As we grow, expect things like Creative Retreats, big name experts, more in depth creative learning/sprints, SWAG, and exclusive opportunities that will change the creative game. We’ve got big ideas, and we’re taking action.

Studio Sonder is designed to fit into your life at any pace.

Jump into weekly co-working sessions, attend monthly masterclasses, or just take advantage of our creative resources—your journey, your way.

Our forums and studio is open 24/7 - so you can find space for your creativity whenever suits you.

All our workshops and masterclasses are recorded and hosted in our SonderStream space for you to watch anytime (we advise making a popcorn salad and getting cosy).

But there’s never any expectation. You needn’t feel bad when life gets in the way, and no one will judge you - EVER.

Our Crew members may reach out to you directly via DMs inside the Studio to check in with you, but that’s only because 1. We care and 2. We value every single Rebel and their unique situation.

We will never bombard you or force you to engage or participate with anything you’re not comfortable with.

There are no minimum requirements for creativity: No age, geographic, experience (etcetc) restrictions.

Being a human is a creative act in itself.

Wherever you’re at in your creative journey, you are always welcome in The Studio. 

Remember:

Creativity is not a competition.

Creativity is not about awards.

Creativity is not about comparison.

Creativity is not about being judged.

Creativity is not about being “good”.

Creatives are explorers.

Creatives are outlaws.

Creatives are rebels.

Your creativity does not need to be justified by an outcome.

There are few things in life we can control. Most things are determined by luck, who you know, and privilege.

However, we can control how we engage with the things that ignite our souls. That’s why we always suggest focusing on the creative process vs the destination.

Think of it this way:

I want to write a book; therefore, I need to enjoy the process of writing.

I want to be a creator; therefore, I need to enjoy the process of creating.

I want to be a podcaster; therefore, I need to enjoy listening to and learning about other people’s stories.

I want to be a filmmaker; therefore, I need to enjoy the process of planning, filming, editing, and storytelling.

I want to be a freelancer; therefore, I need to enjoy building a business, building client relationships, and understanding my worth.

If you don’t enjoy the creative act, the outcome will never deliver the happiness you think it will.  (Yes, it’s all been said before. But not by you).
