Meet Dr Demi, Studio Sonder’s Founder
If you crave accountability, discipline, confidence, connection, and progress (no matter your moonshot dream or project) keep reading 🫰
I'm Demi, founder of Studio Sonder & all-round creative alien 👽
My creative journey began the moment I could grab a pen (shout out to my grandma's magic drawer of pens - even though they rarely worked).
As a teen, I threw myself into acting and screenwriting, hoping to find proof that I belonged somewhere.
I dreamed about Hollywood and big stages, thinking that if I “made it,” I’d finally feel worthy. But reality?
It didn’t match that vision. Like many, I got stuck, trusted the wrong people, and watched my creativity squash under society’s serious expectations.
That’s the thing—we’re taught to get a job, pay the bills, fit into some box, and live a “normal” life. But the idea of life as a conveyor belt of predictable steps? Terrifying. I could never accept that this was all there was.
But looking back, I see that story as a cover.
I spent 28 years undiagnosed with ADHD and autism, lost in my own fantasy world because, well, the outside world didn’t make much sense to me.
I still feel like an alien sometimes, navigating a planet that expects me to fit in.
Spoiler: I don’t, and I never really have.
If I didn’t take my Masters and PhD, I’d probably still be accepting sh*tty treatment and being told I’m useless in roles that f*cking sucked.
But not everyone WANTS or CAN take the academic route. £100K+ is wildly expensive to hold yourself accountable. Yet, for me, it felt like my only route. My final shot at “making it.” There were no online communities that weren’t peddling bullsh*t knowledge, charging thousands, or not overwhelming me with sh*t I didn’t want to do.
Thankfully, my route worked. While the moonshot dream of being a screenwriter and filmmaker still lives on, I discovered a purpose greater than anything I could have imagined.
Helping YOU.
Helping other creatives find their feet, voice, and path towards the life they dream about but don’t know how to get there.
I’m here to destroy the barriers to entry, say f*ck off to creative elitism, and connect the most passionate, spell-binding, and utterly chaotic creatives on the planet.
If you’re terrified of meeting new people or sharing your work, trust me—I get it.
I spent 30 years undiagnosed AuDHD, thinking I was an alien and struggling to find my tribe. I also had no connections in the creative world, and my anxiety was ruling the roost.
But I did it scared, unmedicated, and hanging on by a thread.
Now I know why.
Yet, despite all that, people started coming to me for advice on their creative journeys:
“How do I start?”
“How do I keep going?”
“What if I fail?”
I LOVE encouraging others, helping them find their spark, and seeing that light switch on. Yet I face the same roadblock that others may face: time. There aren’t enough hours in the day to personally respond to and help every creative that crosses my path.
Yet, I didn’t want to give up doing what I loved most in the world. Because speaking with you guys is a beautiful feeling—until the inevitable creeps in. Truth be told, I still question myself constantly. It’s like,
"Am I good at this?"
"Do I even know what I’m doing?"
Most days, I’m not sure. But that’s the curse (and blessing) of creativity: you’re always searching, never entirely certain. I used to think I'd fail if I hadn’t achieved certain milestones by 25. Turns out, that’s a big, fat, steaming pile of crap. Thirty, flirty and thriving people ✌️
Life experience—not titles or accolades—makes you genuinely creative. I don’t care about how impressive your CV is; I care about your grit, the stories you carry, and what you’ve overcome.
Those dark days, those unique perspectives, are what makes creativity powerful.
And then there’s this idea that creativity has to happen in solitude, that the best creators are the ones who lock themselves away. But that’s another myth. Creativity thrives in connection. Whether you want to turn it into a career or keep it for yourself, it’s about bringing your view of the world to life.
For me, it’s about telling stories to make sense of a world that doesn’t make sense. And that’s why Studio Sonder exists— a place where creativity is celebrated, not dismissed, and where you’re supported, not diminished.
Creating ISN'T about fame or fortune.
It’s about the joy of making something meaningful. Even now, with everything I’ve done, I still doubt myself. But I know there’s something special about building this together.
Studio Sonder isn’t another business opportunity for me.
It’s the place I have been longing for my entire life.
And now I get to share it with you.
Welcome home

The Studio Sonder Difference
True creativity thrives when you nurture your mind, body, and soul. Studio Sonder helps you unlock your potential by keeping you creatively accountable, supported, and inspired—without burning out.
Because let’s be honest: Getting paid to be a full-time creative is lemon, lemon difficult!
If you don’t surround yourself with positive, ambitious creatives - especially when the world is on fire and you’re the dog meme saying this is fine - it’s impossible to remain accountable for your creative dreams.
Studio Sonder is not some creator-peddled program that over-promises X results in X weeks and promptly underdelivers.
This is a place of pure creative expression, possibilities, and progress.
❌ No elitism ❌ No comparisons ❌ No bullshit egos
In other words, we’re unapologetically messy, free, passionate, and realistically delusional about our creativity.
In a world that still undervalues creativity, Studio Sonder is a place where we share, grow, and question openly and without judgment.
This isn’t about doing the work for you; it’s about building each other up as we figure it out.
Because creativity isn’t a destination; it’s the labyrinth of reclaiming your power, making magic on your terms, and knowing that even if you doubt yourself, you don’t have to do it alone.
Look, sharing my story feels vulnerable.
Introducing you guys to Sonder? That makes me want to crawl into a hole.
But I’m taking messy action.
